Exercise does not make you thin!

Well, it seems that the holy grail of exercising for losing weight is not really based on scientific data. In several studies it has been shown that increasing the amount of exercise also increases the hunger of the individual thus making all of those calories burnt through hours on the gym evaporate after having some reward/comfort food. It also seems that if you exercise a lot during a period of the day you will be less prone to exercise ( or just move ) during the rest of the day as you would normally do on days when you dont go to the gym. I had guessed this already after my first Modifast period as I was able to lose a lot of weight without exercising much. I have spent years going to the gym only to see my weight remain in the same levels. Of course that you notice that you are "fitter" and have better condition, but it is more important from a health point of view ( cardiovascular diseases and orthopedic problems) to be thin than to be fit. I also read a while ago that of all of the types of exercises, the worst from a weight losing point of view is swimming.     Exercise makes you hungry. And you have to exercise an awful lot to make a difference weightwise. Food is (almost) everything! :-)

    I exercis and eat the same as before i started to workout. And i have lost weight. I do my training in the evening and it also make me sleep alot better at night. So i still believe that exercis can make a diffrence.
